ONE STRONG ALLIANCE
In January 2017 three strong groups – AEL, CEC, CREC – joined to form one strong alliance which will benefit ALL our members. As a member, your opinions and ideas will be heard. AEA will advocate on behalf of our members.
NETWORKING
Meet industry stakeholders at a range of social and professional events. As a member of the AEA, you are a part of an organization consisting of over 100 leading companies and over 1,000 individuals. The AEA community includes electrical distributors, manufacturers, engineers, contractors, utilities, inspectors, educational institutions, government and other organizations that work with the electrical industry. AEA members receive a discounted rate on admission, and have more opportunities to put their company first for sponsorship.
EDUCATION
The AEA helps you and your employees keep your skills up-to-date with discounted Canadian Electrical Code training, lighting, solar and wind; as well as leadership and business development programs for all generations. The AEA also holds informational sessions led by industry experts.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Education funding for dependents of AEA members. These scholarships and bursaries support students at local colleges and universities. Thousands of dollars are given out to our members each year. AEA members only have the opportunity to apply and receive these scholarship funds.

The AEA hosts electrical trade shows across Alberta, providing a forum to attract industry decision makers to view new products and services and meet with the people who market them. AEA members receive priority booth placement, discounts on booth spaces, and priority for speaking opportunities.
